Delivery of Online Services: Non-Discrimination Statement

We believe that it is important to make our website accessible to all users. With this in mind we have worked hard to improve the ease of use for visually impaired users. In particular we have ensured the availability of "alt text", a simple and clear approach to online layout and improved colour contrast.

1. Connexions West Yorkshire is constitutionally committed to "ensuring and safeguarding the right to equality before the law and to freedom from discrimination on such grounds as disability, political or other opinion, race, religion, sex or sexual orientation and marital status."
2. Connexions West Yorkshire wholeheartedly supports the Race Relations Act 1976 and the Sex Discrimination Acts 1975 and 1986 and the Disability Discrimination Act 1995.
3. Connexions West Yorkshire endeavours to present websites that are usable and accessible to as many users as possible.
4. Connexions West Yorkshire is aware of the particular issues faced by internet users with disabilities and takes into account and applies current web design standards for enhancing site usability and maximising accessibility.
5. Connexions West Yorkshire encourages feedback from any users about how usability and accessibility features of our websites can be enhanced. Connexions West Yorkshire records and considers all feedback of this type and will apply modifications to our websites that we consider will improve usability and accessibility where such modifications are within Connexions West Yorkshire's means.

Our site works well in text-only browsers and fits the criteria for people with visual impairment.

We hope that this makes the site accessible to as many visually impaired users as possible but we recognise the need to continue to improve in this area.
