| Ben became disengaged with school education and didn’t do as well in his GCSEs as he might have done. He was referred to Zubair, a Keyworker in the Kirklees Learning Agreement team by C & K Careers. Ben was working for a building company as a general labourer. When he heard about the free training available on the Learning Agreement he was very receptive to this as it was bite-sized and he could still earn a living whilst doing accredited training. He signed up to do a Skills for Life certificate in Numeracy and after successfully completed the qualification then progessed onto a full apprenticeship organised by Kirklees College. Read More |

Kyle is a Material Test Inspector at William Cook Casting Products Ltd, a large Engineering Company in Leeds. His current work responsibilities include tensile testing metals and report writing. Kyle previously trained as a plumber at college, but decided to leave after a year due to the difficulty in finding a work placement.
