What is it?
The Learning Agreement is your opportunity to develop your workplace skills and gain a qualification, while you contiue to work.

Who is it for?
The Learning Agreement is available to 16-17 years olds who are in work and are not receiving training towards a nationally recognised qualification.

How does it work?
We will discuss the training options with both you and your employer. We will then help you select the best training plan for the development of your skills and the requirements of your job.
We will continue to support you until you have successfully completed the training.

Where and when will the studying take place?
That depends on the course you choose. The training may be in the workplace or off site. We will negotiate the different options available in advance with both you and your employer. All that is required from you is your time and commitment.

Which courses are available?
There are many courses available at different levels, ranging from Level 1 (foundation level)  to Level 3 (equivalent to A levels). Your Keyworker will discuss the most appropriate training for you and the requirements of your employer’s business. After successful completion of the training you will receive a nationally recognised qualification eg; City & Guilds,Technical Certificate, NVQ Level 1, Modern Apprenticeship etc.

How will I benefit?
Training is an investment for your future. It can
• Make you a valued asset to any organisation
• Allow you to participate in a wider range of tasks and responsibilities
• Increase your confidence and motivation
• Improve your promotion prospects
• Improve your opportunity to go on to further training at a higher level
Employees who possess diverse skills are generally more satisfied and positive in their jobs.

What if I’m not working?
If you are 16–17 and are not currently working – give us a call as we will be able to help you too!
